At Top Tier Tree, we’ve been removing infested ash trees almost daily as the impact of EAB continues to grow throughout our communities. Unfortunately, many homeowners are now facing the difficult decision of removing trees that have become unsafe due to infestation.

To support homeowners taking proactive action, Top Tier Tree is launching our Ash Tree Removal Reward Program. Each month, every homeowner who completes an ash tree removal service due to Emerald Ash Borer will automatically be entered into a monthly drawing for a gift card prize.

Step 1: Spot an Infested Ash Tree

Look for signs of emerald ash borer infestation, including:

  • D-shaped exit holes in the bark.

  • Canopy thinning or dead branches.

  • Bark splitting and S-shaped larval tunnels underneath.

Step 2: Request Estimate Consultation

Step 3: Requested Services

If removal is recommended and you decide to move forward, simply approve the proposal and we will get you scheduled. Our crew will handle the job using professional equipment, controlled rigging techniques, and careful planning to ensure your property, landscaping, and surrounding areas are protected throughout the process.

Step 4: Program Reward

Once your ash tree removal project is completed, you will automatically be entered into our monthly Ash Tree Bounty Drawing. Each month through the end of 2026, we will randomly select one client who completed an ash tree removal to receive a gift card reward. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate? Anyone in Minnesota can participate whether you’re a homeowner, rental client, commercial property manager or even an HOA resident. Each completed ash tree removal project equals one entry into the monthly drawing.

How do I know if it’s an ash tree? Ash trees have compound leaves with 5-9 leaflets, opposite branching, and diamond-shaped bark ridges. If you’re unsure, don’t worry – our team can help verify the tree during your estimate visit.

What are the signs of emerald ash borer? Emerald Ash Borer infestations often show several visible symptoms; D-Shaped exit holes in the bark, thinning canopy or dying branches near the top of the tree. Bark splitting exposing S-shaped larval tunnels, increased woodpecker activity on the trunk. Gradual decline and dieback of the tree.

How do I enter the monthly drawing? Entry is simple. If you schedule and complete an ash tree removal project with Top Tier Tree, your project is automatically entered into that month’s drawing. No additional sign-up or registration is required. 

When are winners selected? One winner will be randomly selected each month through the end of 2026 from all qualifying ash tree removal projects completed during that month. The winner will be contacted directly after the drawing. Once contacted, winners will be posted on Top Tier Tree’s Facebook post upon winners approval. 

What is the prize? No limit, the more trees you submit, the more rewards you can earn – until the bounty pool runs out.

What if I am unsure if a tree is infested? Each monthly drawing winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card reward as part of our Ash Tree Removal Program. Details about the current prize value may vary throughout the promotion and will be announced on our website and social media platforms. 

Is there a limit on entries? There is no limit on entries. If multiple ash trees are removed as part of a single project, each removal may qualify as an additional entry into the monthly drawing.

Do I need to have Emerald Ash Borer confirmed? Not necessarily. Many ash trees being removed in Minnesota are either already infested or at high risk of infestation. During your consultation, our team will evaluate the tree’s condition and recommend the best course of action.

Why remove ash trees now? Emerald Ash Borer has already killed tens of thousands of ash trees across North America, and Minnesota continues to see increasing infestation rates. Removing compromised ash trees early helps; prevent dangerous tree failures, protect homes, vehicles, and surrounding property, avoid higher removal costs once trees become brittle or hazardous.
